Saying this, Rahmat uncle took us to Sanki Para.



I entered a small thatched room next to the railway line and saw Uncle Rahmat pull out a few three knot three rifles and a revolver from inside a box.

Uncle Rahmat: – Why not be safe?



I: – Commander of Kutubaddi Razakar. He always has a rifle and people. So if we go to kill him like this, he will shoot back. Even the Pak army could shoot us at the sound of his gunfire.



Uncle Rahmat: – Why not?



I: – Although the commander of the Razakars is Kutubaddi, but not everyone in the Bihari camp is a Razakar anymore. It may be that there are many pro-liberation people in that place. And of course there are children, women, old and sick people in that place, so they should never be attacked that way considering them.



Uncle Rahmat: That’s right. But how do you know so much about Bihari camp?



Me: – Sometimes I would go to Bihari camp to know about them.



Uncle Rahmat: – Then how is it possible to kill Kutubaddi?



I: – It is easily possible to kill Kutubaddi by stealth attack. For this, you need to know where Kutubaddi is and when.



Uncle Rahmat: – I don’t know, but I can find out with my informant.



Saying this, Rahmat called a boy and brought him. He said to the boy, “When and where is the commander of the Razakars, Kutubaddi? Come and tell me.”



Hearing this, the boy left and came half an hour later and said, “Every evening, after the evening, Kutubaddi and his henchmen go to shashi lodge near the court and conspire.”



Uncle Rahmat said, “I am old, it is very difficult to carry out a stealth attack at this age. So it would be better for one of you to do so.”

এই কথা বলে রহমত চাচা আমাদেরকে সানকি পাড়ায় নিয়ে গেলেন।



রেললাইনের পাশে একটা ছোট ছাপরা ঘরে ঢোকে দেখলাম রহমত চাচা একটা বাক্সের ভিতর থেকে কয়েকটা থ্রি নট থ্রি রাইফেল আর রিভলভার বের করলেন।



হাতে নিয়ে দেখলাম নারকেল তেল দিয়ে পালিশ করা হয়েছে। রহমত চাচা অস্ত্রগুলো দেখিয়ে বললেন, ” আপাতত আমরা এগুলো দিয়েই যুদ্ধ করব। অচিরেই ভারত থেকে শ্রীমতী ইন্দিরা গান্ধি আমাদের জন্য মেশিন গান প্রেরণ করবেন। “



আমি বললাম, ” চাচা, আপনি কীভাবে কুতুবদ্দিকে খুন করবেন ? “



রহমত চাচা :- আমরা রাইফেল ও পিস্তল নিয়ে বিহারি ক্যাম্পে গিয়ে কুতুবদ্দিকে গুলি করে খুন করব। আর তখন অন্য যে বিহারিকেই পাব সেই বিহারিকেই গুলি করে মারব।



আমি :- এটা কখনই নিরাপদ হবেনা এবং উচিতও হবেনা।



রহমত চাচা :- কেন নিরাপদ হবেনা ?



আমি :- কুতুবদ্দি রাজাকারের কমান্ডার। ওর কাছে সবসময় রাইফেল ও লোক থাকে। তাই তাকে আমরা যদি এভাবে মারতে যাই, তবে সে পাল্টা গুলি করবে। এমনকি ওর গোলাগুলির আওয়াজ পেয়ে পাক বাহিনীও আমাদেরকে গুলি করতে পারে।



রহমত চাচা :- উচিত হবেনা কেন ?



আমি :- যদিও রাজাকারের কমান্ডার কুতুবদ্দি, কিন্তু বিহারি ক্যাম্পের সকলেই ত আর রাজাকার না। এমনও ত হতে পারে, সেই স্থানে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের পক্ষের অনেক লোক আছে। এবং অবশ্যই সেই স্থানে শিশু, নারী, বৃদ্ধ ও অসুস্থ মানুষেরা আছে, তাই তাদেরকে বিবেচনা করেই ঐভাবে হামলা করা কখনই উচিত হবেনা।



রহমত চাচা :- এটা অবশ্য ঠিক। তবে বিহারি ক্যাম্প সম্পর্কে তুমি এতকিছু কীভাবে জান ?



আমি :- মাঝে মাঝে আমি বিহারি ক্যাম্পে যেতাম তাদের সম্পর্কে জানার জন্য।



রহমত চাচা :- তাহলে কীভাবে কুতুবদ্দিকে খুন করা সম্ভব ?



আমি :- চোরাগোপ্তা হামলা করে কুতুবদ্দিকে খুন করা সহজেই সম্ভব। এজন্য আগে জানতে হবে কুতুবদ্দি কোথায় কখন থাকে ?



রহমত চাচা :- এটা ত আমি জানিনা, তবে আমার ইনফর্মার দিয়ে সেটা জানতে পারব।



এই কথা বলে একটা ছেলেকে রহমত চাচা ডেকে আনলেন। ছেলেটাকে তিনি বললেন, ” রাজাকারের কমান্ডার কুতুবদ্দি কখন কোথায় থাকে ? সেটা আমাকে এসে জানাও। “



এই কথা শোনে ছেলেটা চলে গেল এবং আধা ঘন্টা পর এসে বলল, ” প্রতিদিন সন্ধ্যার পর কুতুবদ্দি আর ওর চ্যালারা আদালতের কাছে শশীলজে গিয়ে ষড়যন্ত্র করে। “



রহমত চাচা বললেন, ” আমার বয়স হয়েছে, এই বয়সে চোরাগোপ্তা হামলা করাটা অত্যন্ত কঠিন। তাই তোমাদের মধ্য থেকে কেউ করলে ভালো হয়। “
